Can I continue to use Astrid offline / not syncing / with Google Tasks?
Yes, even after the August 5th, 2013 deadline the Astrid app can continue to be used as a personal To-do app on your mobile device (either offline or with Google Tasks [on Android]).
However, it will not be available in the app store and there are two known bugs associated with offline use that will not be corrected.
1) On iPhone the task count for lists will not reduce. For instance, if a list has ever had 5 tasks, it will always show 5 tasks, even if some or all have been completed.
2) On Android the task count for lists will show 0 when first opening the app. As lists are viewed, the task count will update properly, but will then revert to 0 if the app is closed and opened once more.
All other non-sharing, non-syncing functions will continue to work.
Android version 4.5.3 does not have this list count bug and is still available here for the time being: www.weloveastrid.com/old
However, it does not have the built in Power Pack and Locale add-ons included.
